Switzerland

ICVolunteers-Switzerland is the Swiss branch of ICVolunteers based in Geneva. Historically, the Swiss office is the cradle of the whole organization. It started in 1997 when the first volunteers for the 12th World AIDS Conference were recruited. Following this success, "International Conference Volunteers (ICV)" was founded in Geneva in 1999 to provide a permanent structure for our work. Brazil

In Brazil, ICVolunteers has also an associate member: Converdgencia, the Instituto de Estudos Socioambientais, is a non-profit organization of public interest active in the field of education for sustainability favoring the respect of the environment. The empowernment of individuals, strengthening their knowledge, making possible solutions and acting to make them happen, aware of his or her social, economic and environmental responsibility.  Converdgencia is active throught Brazil, involving volunteers. The aim of ICVolunteers in Japan is to recruit, train and coordiante volunteers for non-profit project, putting a particular focus on projects related to technology and languages.

Mali

ICVolontaires-Mali develops ICVolunteers' activities in Mali, West Africa. It particularly focuses on language and cybervolunteers projects. Recent projects in Mali include work with the "Association des Municipalités du Mali" and the Ouladnagim Touareg desert school, as well as Africa@home with the University of Bamako. More...

In Senegal, ICVolunteers has also an associate member: CRESP Senegal is an NGO dedicated to the end of hunger and poverty, sustainable local development, and the preservation of the environment and of traditional wisdom in Africa. In South Africa, ICVolunteers is represented by the Cape Town Volunteer Centre (CTVC).  As South Africa's first Volunteer Centre (originally Voluntary Aid Bureau), CTVC was started in 1979, as a project of the International Year of the Child.
